For Rotary Community Economic Development Month this year we feature an interview with e-Club Rotarian Jeff Tinnell, who with his brother Robert, is having a significant economic development impact on WV communities through work to build the movie industry in West Virginia. Jeff also has a history of video production to promote and advance the tourism industry in WV. P.S. Since this interview, the list of movies produced by Jeff and Robert for A&E and Lifetime is now quite long, and they are producing more, as you read this!
CURRENT E-CLUB PROGRAM
PRESIDING TODAY IS: Richard Phalunas, MSRE Club President
Ding! We’re now in session.
Welcome all – Visitors, fellow Rotarians and guests alike to this E-Club program!
Four-Way Test
At the beginning of each meeting we remind ourselves of the The Four-Way Test. Therefore, please remember to ask yourself always . . .
Of the things we think, say or do:
- Is it the TRUTH?
- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
A Reflective Moment
“Volunteers are unpaid not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless."
--Anonymous
A Lighter Moment
"Why do you sit there looking like an envelope without any address on it?" - Mark Twain
(Mark Twain certainly was not casting aspersions to a Rotarian!)
Making Movie Magic (in WV) with MSRE Rotarian Jeff Tinnell
For those of you who do know Jeff as a Rotarian of the Mountain State E-Club, you already know of his commitment to making a difference in his home state of West Virginia professionally and personally. You may also know of his commitment to Service Above Self not only here in WV, but also through his service to others in Monserrat (a British overseas island territory in the Caribbean. He is a quiet and humble person, with a commitment to learning, and sharing, always! This MSRE Program features his commitment to "Making Movie Magic" in WV - something he has been doing for quite some time now . . . be it through his WV Tourism videos, or his feature films which are set and filmed in WV.
