In December 2025 a new "Gift Membership" was instituted as part of our Mountain State E-Club / Rotary District 7545 membership drive. What better time to join Rotary than the holiday season? We welcomed three new members under this program, and are looking forward to welcoming many more to Rotary before the 2025-2026 Rotary year comes to an end on June 30, 2026. Read on to see how you can give the gift of Rotary to loved ones throughout the new calendar year!

E-CLUB PROGRAM

PRESIDING TODAY IS: Bonnie Branciaroli, Public Image and Service Project Co-ordinator

bellDing! We’re now in session.

Welcome all – visitors, fellow Rotarians and guests alike to this E-Club program!

Remember the Four-Way Test!

At the beginning of each meeting we remind ourselves of the The Four-Way Test.  Therefore, please remember to ask yourself always . . .

Of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Reflective Moments

“He profits most who serves his fellows best.”
       – Early Rotary principle

“Service Above Self”
       – Rotary Motto

Leadership Quotes

“Each Rotarian is a connecting link between the idealism of Rotary and their trade or profession.”
        – Paul Harris, Rotary Founder

“The question isn't whether you have something to offer, it's how you'll use your skills to serve.”
       – Francesco Arezzo, RI President 2025-26

“Every role has value, every skill can provide a service, and every person can make a difference.”

January is Vocational Service Month

Before I continue on with our new membership program, let's keep in mind that January is Vocational Service month. Vocational Service is the way Rotary fosters and supports the application of the Ideal of Service to the pursuit of all vocations. It is the shared responsibility of both the Rotary Club and its members.

The role of the Club is to implement and encourage the objectives by its own actions in dealing with the community and by the development of projects that enable members to use their vocational talents in the service of the community.  The role of members is to conduct themselves and their businesses in accordance with Rotary principles, and support the Vocational Service projects that the club has developed.

During January Rotarians are encouraged to focus on this important avenue of Rotary service.  Discussions on vocational service can lead to projects that not only develop the ethical consciousness and vocational skills of Rotarians, but also the talents within their communities. Vocational Service Month is an opportunity to begin year-long vocational service activities, ranging from Rotary discussions to awards to community projects.

As the months roll along, we'll introduce to you what our club values as it pertains to The Rotary Foundation and the two awards we strive to maintain:

1. EREY (Every Rotarian Every Year)
The Rotary Foundation's
EREY (Every Rotarian, Every Year) is a core initiative encouraging all Rotary members to donate to the Annual Fund annually, fostering a culture of consistent giving to fund local and global projects in health, education, peace, and poverty alleviation. EREY promotes a minimum goal, $100/year, but emphasizes participation leading to club recognition and crucial funding (District Designated Funds - DDF) that returns to districts for chosen projects, especially grant-related projects, such as our Barbour Backpack program, that begins in April and concludes in September.

2. The 100% Club Recognition:
The Rotary Foundation's "100% Club" recognition
celebrates Rotary clubs where every dues-paying member contributes to The Rotary Foundation annually, often with specific minimums, fostering universal participation in its humanitarian work like ending polio and supporting education. Key recognition banners include the "100% Foundation Giving Club" (averaging $100 per member in giving).

E-CLUB GIFT MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM

The E-Club of District 7545 (also known as the Mountain State Rotary E-Club or MSRE) is offering a unique opportunity to share Rotary membership with immediate family members.

District Governor, Richard J. Macak, Jr., recently gifted his three adult children with
membership certificates. They will ultimately decide whether to maintain their membership but, in the interim, they will be introduced to all the things Rotary has to offer both via the MSRE and Rotary clubs in their local areas. Although the Holiday Season has passed, there are certainly other occasions to share this gift. Please see below for more information:
