bellDing! We’re now in session.

Welcome all – Visitors, fellow Rotarians and guests alike to the E-Club meeting for the week of March 7, 2016!

Remember the smiling pot. Donations to our E-Club help support our service projects.

We’d like to respectfully remind all visitors that if they would like to contribute the normal cost of a meal for your makeup, we would be grateful. These funds go directly to our many and varied service projects around the world. You can make a contribution in the Donation box on the homepage. Or you can write a check to:  Rotary E-Club of District 7530 and mail it to Treasurer MSRE, 115 Hoffman Avenue, Morgantown, WV 26505.

Four-Way Test

At the beginning of each meeting we remind ourselves of the The Four-Way Test.  Therefore, please remember to ask yourself always . . .

Of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

A Reflective Moment

“Believe you can and you are halfway there”        Theodore Roosevelt
A Light Moment
With the overload of coverage during this political season, this would never fly today.
For a fellow nicknamed Silent Cal, Calvin Coolidge had a sly, dry sense of humor. There’s the famous exchange he had with a hostess at a gathering:
Hostess: "You must talk to me, Mr. Coolidge. I made a bet today that I could get more than two words out of you."
Coolidge: "You lose.

This week’s Program:  Perspective and the Power of Yes

All of us struggle with career, family, alone time and the need to succeed. As a business driven organization, Rotary was founded on many meaningful principles of fairness, friendship and striving to help others. As we launch a campaign to attract new members and grow our roster, it is important to keep perspective in what is important to us all. Keeping a healthy and happy balance is important in life. The link below gives a unique look into someone who “has it all” and how it may not be enough if you lose perspective into what is important.
Thank you for participating in this week's meeting!
