When we look around our country and world, it isn’t hard to find many stories about poverty and the negative stereotypes that come along with it. This TED talk really stood out to me because it focuses on the progress and positive things happening across the globe….and because the presenter is BONO!

This Week’s Meeting

Week beginning April 20, 2015

Presiding today is Brett White, PR Chair

bellDing! We’re now in session.

Welcome all – Visitors, fellow Rotarians and guests alike to the E-Club meeting for the week of March 30, 2015!

Remember the smiling pot. Donations to our E-Club help support our service projects.

We’d like to respectfully remind all visitors that if they would like to contribute the normal cost of a meal for your makeup, we would be grateful. These funds go directly to our many and varied service projects around the world. You can make a contribution in the Donation box on your left. Or you can write a check to:  Rotary E-Club of District 7530 and mail it to Treasurer MSRE, 115 Hoffman Avenue, Morgantown, WV 26505.

Four-Way Test

At the beginning of each meeting we remind ourselves of the The Four-Way Test.  Therefore, please remember to ask yourself always . . .

Of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

A Reflective Moment

Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.     —-Steve Jobs

A Light Moment

This week’s Program:

When we look around our country and world, it isn’t hard to find many stories about poverty and the negative stereotypes that come along with it. This TED talk really stood out to me because it focuses on the progress and positive things happening across the globe….and because the presenter is BONO!

There is still a long way to go if we want to try and end poverty and ensure that all our neighbors are able to lead productive, healthy lives….but this shows that there are good things happening and we need to remember that. Hope you guys enjoy the talk as much as I did.
