E-CLUB PROGRAM

PRESIDING TODAY IS:  BRIAN MOORE, Past President

bellDing! We’re now in session.

Welcome all – Visitors, fellow Rotarians and guests alike to this E-Club program!

Remember the smiling pot. Donations to our E-Club help support our service projects.

We’d like to respectfully remind all visitors that if they would like to contribute the normal cost of a meal for your makeup, we would be grateful. These funds go directly to our many and varied service projects around the world. You can make a contribution in the Donation box on the homepage. Or you can write a check to:  Rotary E-Club of District 7530 and mail it to Treasurer MSRE, 115 Hoffman Avenue, Morgantown, WV 26505.

Four-Way Test

At the beginning of each meeting we remind ourselves of the The Four-Way Test.  Therefore, please remember to ask yourself always . . .

Of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Program:  The Importance of Service

Rotary is founded upon service to others, so take a moment to consider your current commitment to service, as well as what service goals you can set for yourself.  Service is all about giving freely of yourself, without the thought of a corresponding taking. How do you give freely? Never hesitate to help and serve others. Work tirelessly to improve the community in which you live, performing service for volunteer organizations and serving on boards. Give freely of yourself at work too. Sacrifice. When something has to be given up, volunteer. Simply put, be the ultimate team player. You will be a better person, a better Rotarian, and you will feel better in the process. Don’t know where to start? It’s easy. Begin with your local Rotary Club or Mountain State Rotary E-Club. You can serve your club, your local community, or the international community. And, if you are uncertain about what skills you bring to the table, start by thinking about how what you do for a living and can be used to serve in other areas as well. Vocational service is a very important part of Rotary. Check out this short video for more on vocational service.
